Program Description
Want a taste of a teaching experience? Give your career a head-start when you join a short-term teaching internship in Fiji. As an intern you gain practical experience while you make a real difference to communities, assisting and sharing your skills with local teachers to improve the quality of education in under-resourced schools.

Interns will be based on GVI’s main base in the stunning Dawasamu District. The traditional villages, dense jungle, mountains, and beautiful coastline of the area make for a truly amazing environment in which to live and work. Depending on the requirements at the time, you will work in local rural schools and also in surrounding communities. The focus of this short-term internship is to provide educational activities and supporting classroom activities in local schools.

All internships are geared at developing your leadership and role model skills, allowing you to develop a variety of soft and hard skills that will boost your teaching experience. GVI have been running community development, education, and conservation projects since 1997 and our highly experienced field staff will help you gain and improve vital skill sets to improve your future job prospects. This internship offers the opportunity for you to gain additional qualifications and experience in a teaching environment, giving you a fantastic starting point for developing your own teaching career.
