Spend a semester or academic year in the lively, worldly city of London, England, with AIFS! As a major political, financial and cultural center London is one of the world’s most thriving and cosmopolitan cities. Home to a multitude of museums and galleries, concert halls, theaters, historic buildings and a host of beautiful urban parks, London has something for everyone. Whether your interest is art or theater, fashion or film, business or music, London has all the resources you could want for a stimulating study abroad experience. 

Earn up to 15 semester credits awarded by Fairfield University.

This program is designed for students who wish to take courses in a broad range of academic disciplines many of which relate specifically to the history, art, architecture, culture, economics and politics of Britain and make special use of the resources available in London. Many of these classes also satisfy major or general education requirements. 

Enjoy cultural and social activities including: 
  • Guided city tours of Kensington and London
  • Theater performances
  • Music concerts
  • Visit to an English soccer game
  • Day trips to Cambridge, Stonehenge and Salisbury.
An optional 3-day trip to Paris (taking you through the Channel Tunnel!) is offered as well.

Courses are taught at Richmond, The American International University in London.  Richmond is a highly-respected academic institution offering fully accredited BS, BA and MA programs, taught by outstanding British and international faculty, many of whom are leading experts in their field. Richmond is an independent, co-educational, non-profit international liberal arts and professional studies university with a student body of around 1,000.  The program at Richmond provides the opportunity for students to select from a core of courses—the London Core—that make special use of the resources available in London. These courses offer students an exciting opportunity to learn about the history, art, architecture, culture, economics and politics of Britain while studying in the very country they’re learning about
