Augustana's approved study abroad programs offer a wide range of possibilities!  Want to learn Spanish in a university classroom setting in Madrid?  Experience Coastal Ecology first hand through field work in Zanzibar?  Study alternative health care systems in Trinidad and Tobago over J-Term?  These are examples of some of the over 500 approved study abroad programs available on this site to Augustana College students! Here's how to start looking for the right program for you!
  1. Familiarize yourself with the basic types of programs
  2. Ask yourself questions designed to help you hone in on a program that will be a good fit.
  3. Use StudioAbroad to search for approved programs.
Advisors in the International Programs Office as well as faculty advisors can help you identify the programs that best suit your academic and personal interests and backgrounds. Students are strongly encouraged to request advising with the IPO.

Study abroad in countries or regions of countries subject to a  U.S. Department of State Travel Warning is not permitted by Augustana College.

Study abroad with non-approved programs is only permitted after obtaining clearance from the International Programs Office.  If you find a program on a site other than this one, do not apply for the program until you have obtained clearance from the International Programs Office.
